Mission
The Gamewood Technology Fund is established to provide a financial resource for programs and projects
emanating from Danville, Pittsylvania and Caswell Counties, which enhance the utilization of
information technologies for the improvement of our communities and lives.
The Gamewood Technology Fund looks to support projects utilizing Internet technologies and advanced
telecommunications to improve communication between the world and our region.
The Gamewood Technology Fund looks to advance the use of computers for all people, especially
children and the elderly.
The Gamewood Technology Fund is designed to support the use of information technologies to
improve the lives of those with illness and/or disabilities.
Fund Advisors The Community Foundation of the Dan River Region will be advised
regarding fund development and utilization by the Board of Directors of Gamewood, Inc.
Continued community support of the mission and goals of the Gamewood Technology Fund is encouraged.
Those wishing to make any charitable contribution are invited to do so.

DOVES: To provide the shelter with computers and wireless Internet access.
2003
The City of Danville/Parks and Recreation: To purchase a new computer and software for the Senior Computer Lab.
2002
Community Improvement Council, Inc. (Head Start): To help establish a Parent Resource Center, where parents can acquire
computer skills, literacy language development, community involvement and other family building skills.
2001
Danville Free Clinic: To purchase Internet access to allow implementation of the Pharmacy Connection Program for free pharmaceuticals.
Senior Citizens Center/City of Danville: To help establish a Senior Computer Lab.
2000
The Salvation Army: Awarded a grant from the Gamewood Technology Fund to purchase a new computer with educational software and install an Internet phone line.
1999
Sacred Heart School: Awarded a grant from The Gamewood Technology Fund to provide an Internet domain.
